Who is WVRC
WVRC is dedicated to providing patients, clients, and primary veterinarians with the highest quality emergency and specialty veterinary medical care. Our team consists of incredible emergency vets, board certified specialists, highly skilled technicians, and knowledgeable client service reps. Let’s face it, when an emergency arises or your dog or cat needs specialty care, it’s scary. We get it. That’s why our clients and patients are treated with the utmost care, compassion, and respect. We walk you through the process every step of the way. We work together with you and your family vet to provide the best care when specialized diagnostic treatments or procedures are required. Your pets are an integral part of your family, and once they walk through our doors, they become part of ours.
The origins of WVRC (Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center) started with the establishment of the Emergency Veterinary Service in 1981 by a core of area veterinary hospitals. Over the years, other specialty practices joined the Emergency Veterinary Service and formed WVRC in Spring 2000. Today, WVRC is recognized as one of the largest, most diverse private veterinary emergency service/referral hospitals in Wisconsin. In February 2008, WVRC expanded its highly acclaimed Emergency and Specialty Services to a second location in Grafton. In February 2013, WVRC added a third location, with the purchase of Animal ER of SouthEast Wisconsin in Racine.
