Guinness is a staff favorite at WVRC Racine! This affectionate 7.5-year-old Pit Bull mix came to us after an incident occurred at home. One of Guinness’s housemates has thunderstorm anxiety. He broke out of his kennel during a storm and got into a fight with Guinness. Both boys came to WVRC and were treated for their wounds.
Guinness sustained a significant wound that covered a large area of his chest. He required daily bandage changes for almost two weeks but gave everyone kisses every time he came in. Once his wound was healthy, board-certified sports medicine & rehabilitation surgeon Dr. Wanda Evans closed the wound. Although he’s now healed, we really miss seeing him come through the door with his big smile and welcoming kisses!
